The Baker family has been making bricks since John Baker arrived from England in 1852. Lincoln Brickworks at Wingham, on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, manufactures bricks in the traditional dry press way.

The clays are quarried locally, then put through a process of grinding and are elevated into dry press machines. The 'green' bricks are then stacked into a modern low thermal kiln utilising wood-firing which helps give them their unique colouring.
